Nestled in the heart of Delaware's beautiful Brandywine Valley, Winterthur is a world set apart – a place where history lives on in spectacular gardens, romantic landscapes and a fabulous mansion filled with magnificent American antiques.
Created in the early 20th century by H.F. du Pont and his father, Winterthur was designed in the spirit of 18th- and 19th-century European country estates. Today Winterthur is one of the few surviving great American country estates, beautifully maintained as a place of discovery and delight and the perfect setting for your next special event.
Event spaces include the picturesque Visitor Center, tucked into the country landscape, the elegant museum Galleries, and the majestic Reflecting Pool. Smaller parties can enjoy the three Period Rooms decorated in the manner of the 18th and 19th century. Tented events are also welcome on our spacious grounds.
